As students of TCU have been graced with inclement weather related school closings, the thought of students driving in these conditions shocked me and made me think of a certain video or two. While there is nothing funny about the potential physical harm or damage inflicted on personal property, this video may garner a few laughs out of pure shock or terror that results from people attempting to drive in winter conditions. One accident has already occurred this week involving a car sliding into a telephone pole on campus.
Also, this video is taken in Seattle, where I'm assuming they would have snow tires and other tools to aid in driving in sub-par conditions. Sometimes, even with the proper equipment, you can't drive in the winter and it's not worth your time.

Michael, I find this post very fitting after experiencing the recent snow/ice storms. I personally am not used to driving in the snow/ice. I have a truck, and as most people think, trucks would drive very well in the snow. What I quickly learned driving in the snow is that trucks aren't exactly built for these conditions unless you have four wheel drive. I realized that with rear wheel drive, and an empty truck bed, getting traction on the snowy roads is almost impossible. One funny thing to add to this is my friend who was driving in the snow during the storm. He thought it would be fun to do doughnuts in the street. He immediately learned that curbs can break your rear axle and cost you up to 1500 dollars to replace... While we all got a laugh at his car getting towed away, we all learned how cautious we should be driving in the snow.
